Welcome to Vientiane, our driver will be waiting for you at the Vientiane Airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Vientiane for relaxing or exploring the city.
Vientiane (sandalwood city) has been the capital and the largest city of Laos from the early 16th century to the present. Locating on the majestic Mekong River and the border of Thailand, Vientiane is renowned for French colonial architecture. That Luang - the most significant national monument in Laos and the symbol of Laos in general and an icon of Buddhism in Laos in particular. It is a place you shouldn’t miss. Here is also popular for magnificent and old Buddhist temples such as Haw Phra Kaew, formerly put up the Emerald Buddha. Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast, we first visit the highlights of the Capital City Wat Sisaket the oldest temple in Vientiane with over 6000 Buddha images. Here is preserved thousands of silver and porcelain images in the glorious temples like visiting the Vientiane at a glance in the past.
Nearby is Haw Phra Kaew once the royal temple of the Laotian monarchy, it is a vast temple with a beautiful interior and exterior, it contains some of the finest Buddha sculptures and artifacts in Laos.
Arrange your own lunch then we visit market before we explore Phra That Luang Stupa which was built in 1566 by King Sethtathirat and is considered the national symbol once containing the relics of Lord Buddha.
We then visit the most photographed places in Vientiane Putousay The victory gate also known as Anousavari constructed in 1958 inspired by The Arc De Triumph.
In the late afternoon, we will head to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival and transfer to hotel in Luang Prabang. The remainder of the day is at own arrangements. Stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, you will embark a city tour of Luang Prabang, starting with the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, where you will discover the history of Laos. Marvel at the range of interesting artifacts from the Lao royal family, including photos, musical instruments, and many presents received from the dignitaries of foreign countries. We will visit WatVisoun, the shrine of WatAham and Wat Mai with five impressively tiered roofs.
Leaving the stunning Royal Palace, we will head to Kuang Si Waterfall, southwest of Luang Prabang (32 km). The scenic drive of about 45 minutes takes us through the lush countryside with views of rice paddies and many ethnic minority villages. During the journey, we will stop at your request to visit some villages of the various ethnic minorities in the area. Upon arrival at the falls, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery, and if the weather permits, you can enjoy a swim in the cool, refreshing waters. Otherwise, you can climb up to the top of the falls where magnificent views await you. After visiting the falls, we will drive back to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. On route, stop to explore Ban Xangkhong, a village which specializes in hand-weaving silk and making traditional Saa Paper. Stay overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast at your hotel, Collected from your hotel we will visit Vat Xieng Thong one of the largest and most decorated temples in the Royal City - one of the most significant of Lao monasteries and preserves an important monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art.
We travel by boat for two hours on the Mekong River and explore the Pak Ou Caves long consider a holy place for the Lao people, the caves are home to hundreds of statues to Buddha. Along the way, you will stop at riverside villages to see weavers working on ancient looms, we then visit Ban Xang Hai to learn about Lao Whiskey and Lao Wine. We then stop for lunch at a local restaurant and paid for by yourselves, the driver will then take you to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglex which is renowned for its handmade Jute Sar paper You then continue to Luang Prabang for the overnight stay.
Have breakfast in our hotel and you will have free time to discover the city until our driver pick you up at your hotel(approximate 3 hours before your departure flight time) then transfer you to the airport for flight home.
