Welcome to Vientiane, our driver will be waiting for you at the Vientiane Airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Vientiane for relaxing or exploring the city.
Vientiane (sandalwood city) has been the capital and the largest city of Laos from the early 16th century to the present. Locating on the majestic Mekong River and the border of Thailand, Vientiane is renowned for French colonial architecture. That Luang - the most significant national monument in Laos and the symbol of Laos in general and an icon of Buddhism in Laos in particular. It is a place you shouldn’t miss. Here is also popular for magnificent and old Buddhist temples such as Haw Phra Kaew, formerly put up the Emerald Buddha. Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast, we will have a full day to discover the most beautiful sites in Vientiane. We first visit Haw Phra Kaew, which was built in 1565, it contains some of the finest Buddhist Sculptures and artifacts, and the main structure originally housed the famous Emerald Buddha.The main structure originally housed the famous Emerald Buddha that now resides in Bangkok.
Continue to Vat Sisket the oldest original temple in Vientiane, the temple has thousands of tiny Buddha images.
Vientiane landmark is the Phra Luang Stupa which has a unique architecture reflecting Lao culture. King Sethtathirat built this great sacred stupa, considered the national symbol, in 1566. The original stupa was said to contain relics of Lord Buddha.
One of the most photographed images of Vientiane is Putousay, “The Victory Gate” also known as Anousavari, constructed in 1958 its architecture is inspired by The Arc de Triumph, take panoramic photographs from the top of the monument.
In the afternoon visit the Buddha Park where hundreds of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures brought from India are displayed, en route take a look at the impressive Friendship Bridge before coming back to the hotel for overnight staying.
Depart from Vientiane early morning by private vehicle with your local guide for the journey to Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is approximately 3 hours, 160 km north of Vientiane. Along the way, you will pass small villages to know more about the local life and fisher village at Ban Houeimo. Next get a good look at typical Laotian rural landscapes and village lifestyles.
After arriving, check in and relax at the hotel in Vang Vieng. Then our guide will pick you up at 2 pm for Tham Jung Cave which is the most well known and is very easy to access which is the most well known and is very easy to access in this area with stunning view over the valley. This cave is considered as a home for migrating people who are planning vegetable and living nearby southern Meuang Xong Village.
Next, we head to Tham Loup which is renowned for its many stalagmites and stalactites before coming back to our hotel in Vang Vieng for relaxing and overnight staying.
Vang Vieng is a small town on the Nam Song River, nestled in amongst incredibly scenic limestone karsts, and surrounded by picturesque countryside. The limestone karsts contain numerous caves, and it’s possible to visit a lot of them. Some caves are more easily accessible, whilst others require some fitness and a more adventurous nature.
This morning we will depart Vang Vieng our road trip will take approximately 5 hours passing through mountains on windy roads with breathtaking views, passing traditional picturesque villages.
Arrive in Luang Prabang in the afternoon. We will climb up to Phousi Mount to take a picturesque panorama of the city and take a spectacular view of the sunset over the city. Passing over a lot of temples and sacred with 329 steps reach the summit of Phousi Mount to take photographs and view the sunset over the city.
After that transfer back to our hotel in Luang Prabang for staying overnight.
Today is a great chance to visit the highlights of Luang Prabang. First, visit the National Museum to learn more about the history and culture of Laos.
We then will visit the Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai with five impressively tiered roofs.
Next, we will move forward to visit Kuang Si Waterfalls. The distance is about 30 km and it should take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour for passing through very scenic Laotian countryside with rice paddies and many ethnic minority villages along the way.
The water is fresh and blue, a great place for swimming and relaxing. Otherwise, you can climb up to take splendid views of surrounding landscapes for taking the beautiful photos around.
Then we will visit Ban Xangkhong which is renowned for silk weaving and Saa paper making on the way back to Luang Prabang. The remainder of the day is its own arrangements. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we will visit tranquil Luang Prabang with the oldest temples as Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong. Wat Sene Souk Haram (Temple of a 100 000 treasures) is one of the most majestic temples in Luang Prabang, well-known for a restored painting in a deep ochre color and aureate with gold. And Wat Xieng Thong - one of the largest and most decorative temples or Temple of the Royal City. It is the most significant of Lao monasteries and preserves an important monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art.
Continue travel by boat up the tea-colored waters of the Mekong River about two hours upstream explore the sacred Pak Ou Caves, long considered a holy spot for the Lao people. Pak Ou Caves - a group of caves on the right side of the Mekong River, are home to hundreds of statues of Buddha, big and small, that have been left by devotees. You’ll be amazed to see how many are crammed in. Along the way, you will stop at a riverside village to see weavers working on the ancient loom. After that go down the Mekong by boat return to Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we will transfer directly to the Elephant Village (start at 8:00 AM in the morning). On arrival at the Elephant Village Camp, welcome and greeting by our camp manager and participate in short briefing about elephants. After that we will enjoy the impressive experience of a 30-minute elephant ride on your elephant’s neck*. We then receive basic mahout training on how to control an elephant.

Bathe Your Elephant: Take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan River for an exhilarating bathing Experience!
Boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall: Take a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax in the clear water.We are free to stroll around the Elephant Village before transferring back to city center.
Later, return back to your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Have breakfast in our hotel and you will have free time to discover the city until our driver pick you up at your hotel(approximate 3 hours before your departure flight time) then transfer you to the airport for flight home.
