Welcome to Manila, Philippines. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm today. You can arrive at any time during the day as there are no activities planned until this important meeting. If you do happen to have free time to explore before the meeting, Manila is an intriguing, bustling and overwhelmingly chaotic city. With surprises around every corner, Manila is packed full of things to see, do, taste and experience. Overnight stay at Manila hotel.
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Manila airport and take the short flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa (approximately 1.5 hours). On arrival in Puerto Princesa airport you will be met and transferred to El Nido (the last departure for El Nido is at 18:00. If you arrive in Puerto Princesa later than 16:30, please book this trip for the following day). Travel time is approximately 6 to 8 hours depending on local conditions. Upon arrival in El Nido, you will be dropped-off at your accommodation for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to settle-in. Overnight in El Nido.
Breakfast at hotel. Explore breathtaking lagoons and unspoiled beaches with the El Nido Island Hopping Tour. Visit incredible sites such as the Big and Small Lagoons, which are some of El Nido’s pride. Their limestone walls serving as backdrop to sparkling turquoise waters never fail to amaze travelers.
Venture into the dreamy world of the Secret Lagoon, a tiny island enclosed within limestone cliffs. Relax along the stretch of sandy white beach of Seven Commandos, named after the seven Japanese commandos who inhabited the island after World War II. And of course, you’ll be visiting the awe-inspiring Simizu Island, which completes your experience of the beautiful paradise of El Nido. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in El Nido.
This morning head off on a full day snorkeling trip, island hopping off El Nido. Pass by jagged limestone islands, rocky coves, virgin rain forest and white sandy beaches. The snorkeling is just as spectacular, with beautiful coral and many different species of colourful fish. After an included lunch, venture out on various trips to lagoons throughout the afternoon. Your evening is then free to do as you wish. Overnight in El Nido.
This morning you meet up with your local guide who'll be walking with the group to meet the Batak Tribe – one of about 70 indigenous communities of the Philippines. The trek will take around two to three hours in total, and you’ll leave early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. The trek is generally quite flat with only small rises along the way, but the path is quite rocky so shoes with a good grip is recommended. There are quite a few river crossings today, so packing some sandals with a back strap and decent grip would be ideal if you don't want to get your shoes wet. If you're lucky enough to be there in the right season, you may be able to eat the fruit directly from the cashew trees. After finishing the hike, drive back to the beach chalets in San Rafael Beach. There's plenty of free time for a swim or to read a good book and relax into the evening.
Today after breakfast, we will return back to Puerto Princesa. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the terminal and transferred to the hotel for overnight.
Your guide and driver will pick you up at around 07:00-0730 and transfer you to Sabang. Travel time is about 2 hours. This is a join-in tour with an English-speaking guide. Cathedral chambers, wide hallways and interesting geological formations greet the wide eyed-visitor to the grotto hidden beneath the Saint Paul Mountain. At the mount of the cave, ancient trees growing right of the water’s edge frames a clear lagoon. Monkeys, monitor lizards and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave. Visitors can also enjoy bird watching, mountain trekking, a mangrove paddle boat tour and exploring the deeper part of the forest (to be paid on spot). Back to your hotel after the tour.
