It is also strategically located between South Asia and South East Asia. More interestingly, Myanmar is sandwiched between the two most populous nations in the World– China and India. Day 01 ARRIVAL YANGON

Welcome to Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon and once the capital of Myanmar.  You will be welcomed by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in and light refreshments. Later enjoy your day by exploring nearby places and markets. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 02 YANGON SIGHTSEEING

Today Morning after breakfast, we will start our city tour at Maha Bandula Park which offers the perfect vantage point to view the eye-catching surroundings.  These include the octagonal, golden Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Immanuel Baptist Church, Independence Monument, the Supreme Court and an array of colonial buildings dyed with the pure colors of time and history. Next, we will visit Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to one of the biggest and finest Reclining Buddha Statues in Myanmar.

Later we will arrive at Kandawgyi Park where you can choose to stroll along the lake over the poetic long bridge or walk in Karaweik Barge and discover its interesting history. Don’t miss the chance to visit the exquisite, Shwedagon Pagoda to meditate or just surround yourself in its peacefulness.  This truly magnificent pagoda is at its best when bathed in the beautiful colors of the sunset.

Day 03 YANGON - KYAIKHTIO - GOLDEN ROCK

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred, by car, to Golden Rock Temple – one of the holiest sites in Myanmar. This giant, golden rock, magically perched on a steep cliff face of Kyaikhtiyo Mountain, provides a breath-taking sight.

On the way, we stop for a short visit at Kyakhat Wine Monastery to see 1000 monks, lining up in the quiet corridors, for lunch, in their daily almsgiving ceremony.  This is a unique ritual in Myanmar monastic life and your guide will provide you with some interesting insights into their life.

Reaching the foot of Kyaikhtiyo Mountain, we commence a thrilling 45-min drive up the mountain in a specialized truck. Your reward will be a magical sunset. Overnight at hotel in Golden Rock.

Day 04 GOLDEN ROCK – BAGO – YANGON

This morning, after check out, we will journey back to Yangon. In the middle of the scenic way, we will take the opportunity to stop by the Bago region and discover the beauty that shapes this land’s identity: Shwemawdaw Pagoda – standing proud as the tallest pagoda in Myanmar; and Kanbawzathardi Palace – a glamorous image of a bygone era when Burma was at its most prosperous. Later, spend time absorbing the sights and sounds of the bustling town market before the imposing Kyaik Pun Pagoda comes into view.  We will have time to observe the four giant seated Buddha, sitting back to back, facing in all four directions. Have your camera ready as it will be the highlight of your Myanmar photo book.

Next up, we observe a few moments dedicated to Burma’s modern history in the World War II Cemetery. Our last stop in Bago will be a short visit to a pottery workshop.  Here we can learn how useful, everyday items like water pots and cookware are produced by simple but interesting techniques. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 05 YANGON SHOPPING, DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you may have your free time to go shopping or a short visit to Bogyoke Market (closed on Mondays and public holidays).  This market is the biggest trading place in Yangon where you can see all types of local products from fine art to handicrafts and precious gems. This is a great place to buy gifts and souvenirs for loved ones.

Later (depending on your departure time) we will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. Tour ends with some unforgettable memories of Myanmar.
